Balance and Overall Feel

When you first pick up the Killerspin Jet 600 you’ll notice how heavy it feels your hand. This paddle weighs in at 6.4 ounces (182 grams) which is definitely heavier than most other rackets. For many players, this will feel awkward and not very comfortable at first - heavy paddles can take some time to get used to.

The Jet 600 is equipped with Killerspin’s awesome ITTF-approved Nitrx-4z rubber that is capable of delivering a good amount of spin but is not so tacky and sticky that it can’t handle returning high spin shots. It’s a good tacky surface that gives the maximum amount of spin while still being forgiving for defensive play. It’s not 100% forgiving though and if you’re playing someone who produces a lot of spin, you’ll have to have some fast reaction time to be able to return their shots. High spin shots tend to really spin off this rubber and so it takes some practice to get the hang of how to return them.

Killerspin Jet 600 Sideways

The 2.0-millimeter sponge is on par with the best sponges out there. It’s a high-quality sponge that allows you maintain consistent ball placement while having more power behind your shots. The top quality sponge combined with the heavy 5 ply blade make this paddle a hard-hitter that still gives finesse players the ball placement they need. As far as Killerspin goes, this paddle has the best control of any of their paddles.

The blade of the Jet 600 is built with 5 layers of different premium quality woods. These woods were specifically chosen and formed together to maximize rigidity and glued together to provide the most consistent surface. The paddle is also engineered to flex slightly allowing for more spin through more contact with the ball.

Killerspin Jet 600 Handle

The handle of the JET600 has a nice taper and fits very well in the hand. That, along with the weight of the paddle, give this paddle a nice aggressive balance that shifts the weight of the paddle forward in your hand towards the head of the racket.

Summary

The Killerspin Jet 600 is a heavy racket with a performance blade for increased power, high-spin rubber and a sponge that allows for good control and ball placement. This paddle is ideal for intermediate and advanced players that like to play away from the table with hard high-spin shots but also have a finesse game. The level of control offered with the Jet 600 allows finesse players to place the ball consistently and accurately. In addition, the Jet 600 is good for beginning players that want to step up to a high-performance bat because the increased control will make the transition that much easier.
